In the summer of 2025, the Eleanor Grace Memorial Foundation received an incredible gift from a local family – a new property located right around the corner from Heart House! We converted the 3-family home into a du-plex to create Heart House II (A and B)!
In January, 2026, we completed renovations on the upstairs unit, Heart House II B, and welcomed our first family! Renovations are still underway on Heart House II A, our larger unit, and we can’t wait to open it in the coming months!
These 2 new apartments will allow us to triple our capacity to serve families travelling to St. Louis for their newborns’ specialized medical care. Each unit will provide the same warmth, comfort and support that families have come to know and love at Heart House.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude and excited to begin this new chapter.
